CERTIFICATE III DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS

ST George campus ONLY

The Certificate III in Design Fundamentals Graphic Design course is suitable for anyone without any previous Visual Arts or Design & Technology experience. As an introductory course it explores a range of skills, including design elements and principles, colour and media, graphics, illustration, digital technologies, typography, surface art, art direction and presentation skills. On successful completion you will have developed a fundamental grounding in creative practice.
This course is NOT running at Design Centre Enmore, but will be running at St George Campus, Sydney TAFE. A fee free bridging course will be optional for students that would like to progress directly into a Diploma qualification.

The Diploma of Graphic Design will provide you with employable skills and knowledge in creative thinking, concept development, analysis and problem solving.You will study communication techniques using relevant media and technologies which you can apply to the development of dynamic visual design solutions. Subject areas include typography, design thinking, computer skills for digital and print media, branding, drawing and illustration, and portfolio. On successful completion, you will have the developed the skills and knowledge required for employment as an entry level graphic designer.

ADVANCED DIPLOMA GRAPHIC DESIGN

The Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design will provide you with the opportunity to build a great portfolio, work on live briefs with industry professionals, and undertake a mentored internship. You will also study project management and the business aspects of graphic design. The course culminates with an exhibition that is well attended by industry. Many of our graduates have gained employment directly from this event. This course is the perfect stepping stone to the start of a great career in graphic design.
