Graduate Highlights

Martin Tauts, International Student of the Year finalist

Martin is an international student who has recently completed his Advanced Diploma of Industrial Design at the Design Centre Enmore, Sydney TAFE after initially starting a course in Furniture Making. As a designer Martin is currently developing a product to assist visually impaired children. His product is a children’s toy that uses braille to assist children to learn language and as a result have more confidence in their life. He established the need for such a toy through extensive research and interviews with the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children. Vision impairment affects more than 1 in 2500 children in Australia. His ambition and determination has also meant that he has completed the course in 12 months instead of 18 months. We are very proud of Martin for making it through to the finals of the NSW International Student Awards and wish him all the best in his career.
